Gokhran to buy five diamonds for 350 mln rbl from ALROSA

MOSCOW, Apr 8 (PRIME) -- Russian state precious metals and gems repository Gokhran will buy five large uncut diamonds from diamond giant ALROSA for around 350 million rubles, while a decision on additional support measures will be made later, a spokesperson for the Finance Ministry told PRIME on Wednesday.

In accordance with the government ruling, financial and economic status of systemic organizations, including ALROSA, will be monitored in the second quarter of 2020.

“Following the results of stress tests, the Finance Ministry will consider additional anti-crisis measures for the company,” the spokesperson said.

In 2019, Gokhran bought three uncut diamonds from ALROSA for 132 million rubles to support the company.
